Megan & Michael – Colorado Sunrise Hiking Elopement – Colorado Elopement Photographer

When I met Megan & Michael earlier this year, I did a little happy dance. I felt like I was finally finding MY clients. MY people! I walked to meet them for coffee, and brought my pup, Marlowe, without even thinking about asking if I should bring her. “Oh well! Hopefully they like dogs,” I thought. I walk up, and there they sat, outside, with their own pup, Mylo. It was like love at first sight.

As I got to know them more, learning about how they moved here in the dead of winter, lived in an RV, and hiked and traveled around in the Sprinter van they were redoing, I couldn’t help but feel emotional and so damn happy! Top it all off, they wanted to hike at sunrise for their elopement.

A few months later, we all met at a trailhead way before the sun came up. Three miles later, we had witnessed the most gorgeous alpenglow on the Rockies while the pups played and Megan and Michael committed their lives to one another. I’m getting teary just thinking about it. And let’s not forget when I got a flat tire on the way back to town, and Michael and his brother put my spare on for me. All part of the adventure. People like these two don’t come around everyday. It was nothing short of perfect, and I’m stoked to have found not only amazing clients but also hiking and adventure friends for life! Marlowe was also super stoked to meet her boyfriend Mylo. 💜
