I had such a blast ay Cherry Creek State Park with Delaney and Mylo. Mylo is the cutest five month old samoyed puppy I have ever seen! I was a bit nervous shooting him, since he was a puppy, but he really did a great job and listened well! Delaney and I had quite the adventure. First we were lost in Cherry Creek State Park trying to find the stream (which we later learned was dried up). And along the way, Mylo made a lot of friends. Some of whom took him mudding, resulting in dirtying up his beautiful white coat. In the midst of trying to retrieve him from the mud, Delaney and I were attacked by yellow jackets, and I learned for the first time in my life that I’m not allergic to stings. It was so much fun and a story I will be sharing for awhile!
While I was doing Livia’s yoga shoot, I had the opportunity to meet her mom, Amy Jo! She was in town visiting Livia, wedding dress shopping, and attending an amazing yoga workshop. After seeing me work with Liv, Amy Jo decided what better way to treat herself than to have new head shots done. Amy Jo is a middle school theatre teacher on the east coast and often runs a one-woman show there, putting on the traditional middle school play (that is all in hebrew)! Wow! What a task to not only get middle schoolers to act, but do it in Hebrew! Needless to say, this woman amazed me! Her beauty radiates from the inside out, and I was so blessed to have met her!
I had the privilege of photographing Bridger for his senior portraits. We had an absolutely blast running all over downtown Denver with his mom and sister in toe. He was such a sweetheart and has the kindest temperament. I really enjoyed getting to know him. At the age of 17, Bridger is already well accomplished. He’s been a pianist for 12 years and is fully fluent in Spanish. He has also travel the world already! Not to mention in his free time he volunteers for his community and is involved in the arts. Seriously blew me away! He will be playing varsity tennis this year as well. Best of luck Bridger! Good luck with your final year of high school!
Loooong overdue, but so worth it!!! I had the pleasure of meeting Miss Seneca a few months ago. She instantly amazed me not only by her beauty but also by her personality and talent, so I HAD to ask her to be my senior representative! She kindly agreed, and I couldn’t be happier to have gotten the chance to work with her. She is absolutely stunning. I actually had a hard time remembering she was one of my Seniors, not one of my models!
What really impacted me the most about Seneca though was her heart. When I met her, she shared a project with me that she began about bullying. Seneca loves making films, and after going to a summer film camp, she wanted to make a film (and not your traditional bullying film) to share at schools in Denver campaigning against bullying. She spent her entire Junior year, traveling to local schools, showing her film, and talking with her peers about ways to counteract and prevent bullying. Seneca told me, “Bullying was something that hit close to home for me because I’d been bullied before, and I know a lot of people who have been bullied. It really tore them up. I wanted to make a film that could make an impact with this topic, but not be the traditional type of bullying film. It was so much fun, and to my delight, when I came back to Denver, I was able to go to schools and show my film and talk with students about bullying in their school and brainstorm ways to try and counteract that. It has been a blast, I cannot wait to continue with that this upcoming school year!”
