What better gift to give your mother than pictures of you and your sister? I know my mom is always asking for pictures of Emily and I. Too bad I’m the photographer…but lucky for Heather and Kerry I am! 🙂 I had a blast hanging out with this two gals! We braved some intense cold wind at Red Rocks on a winter day to capture these moments for their mother for Christmas! It was so fun to see how different they were from each other, yet how much fun they have together. Made me miss my sister a lot!
And a fun little fact, both of the girls are wearing adorable pins on their coats handed down from their grandmother! Love it!
Being a photographer, I am beyond blessed to be able to photograph the people that are near and dear to me and capture them forever the way I see them and the way I will always remember them. A few weeks ago I visited my dad and had that opportunity to snap a few photos of him. My dad has been such an amazing support system for me and I have no idea where I would be without him! So thankful to have him in my life!
I had so much fun hanging out and catching up with the Mahaney’s a few weeks ago! I’ve known this family for several years now, so I was so excited when Logan’s mom, Jackie, asked me to do his senior pictures! Logan is an avid hunter so we wanted to incorporate his passion and even more special we took all of his photos at the family farm that his been in his family probably well before his great great grandmother’s time. It was quite the adventure driving “up the holler” and taking a tour of the farm, and hearing stories from Jackie about her childhood there. Logan is finishing up high school at Williamstown High School and has already sworn into the Air National Guard.
I think this, by far, was my favorite wedding this year! The wedding was picture perfect and everything was cute as can be. Handmade ribbons hung from the barn ceiling and colored mason jars and vases lined the tables. This definitely took a dream wedding to photograph off of my to do list! And it’s not surprising the wedding was so creative because the bride is an artist.
On top of the wedding fulfilling one of my dreams, Sarah and Alex are both such wonderful and interesting people. Sarah and I bonded right away when I arrived at her cabin in Grand Lake. All of her “bridesmaids” were men, her brothers, so I became her honorary maid of honor throughout the day: helping her get to the barn, getting dressed, and making sure her hair was just right! I love the secondary roles photographers sometime take on. And I love getting to know my couples! Alex is completely opposite of Sarah: quite, more reserved. But his smile really lights up a room! I hope you enjoy looking at the photos as much as I enjoyed spending time with Sarah and Alex on their big day!
Abe was seriously a blast to work with! Braving the freezing cold and rain, we met up at Wash Park. I was immediately impressed by his outgoing and welcoming personality. He was open to any of the ideas I had and was quick to open up and talk about all the cool things he is involved in. And boy is he busy – Head Boy on Student Council, mascot, and member of a championship-winning Ultimate Frisbee team. Not to mention he’s an avid record collector! It was so cool getting to know this kid!
And a HUGE thank you to Atomic Records on South Broadway for letting us use their store! 🙂
