So what happens when you mix one determined bride with 16 degree weather and a snow storm? Some of the most gorgeous wedding photos I’ve taken! Rachel and John didn’t have much luck with Colorado’s unpredictable, sporadic weather this past year. At their engagement session in May, we had a blizzard when we expected summer weather. We joked that day that their November wedding would end up being another snow storm. Maybe we jinxed it, considering it’s been nearly 70 degrees for the last two weeks this February. But regardless, Rachel blew me away with her determination to get some gorgeous photos. At one point, even though she was shaking, she removed her fur shaw because she wanted to make sure she had photos of her dress. And boy did it pay off! We were very glad to get back inside to warm up and had quite a fun, lively party waiting for us to do just that. I am so thankful for my clients that trust me, place just as much importance in their photos as I do, and are willing to do anything with me to get the best shots for their day!
I’ve known Sasha since I moved to Colorado almost five years ago, so I was thrilled to not only take her engagement photos with Jason, but then also her maternity photos this year. I have always found it an extreme blessing to capture peoples’ life stories, and watching Sasha and Jason’s relationship grow now into parenthood has been amazing!
Sasha has also alway been one for amazing style. So when I found out she was pregnant, I was excited to see how this gorgeous gal pulled off her maternity look. She told me how she was determined not to give up her heels and how it was so hard to keep her style while carrying around her new belly (especially since she is so petite)! This session was at nearly 37 weeks, proving that even though you are extremely pregnant, it is possible to still be the best and most gorgeous version of yourself! Sasha rocked her pregnancy, and a week after these photos were taken, her baby boy was born. I had hoped to be in the delivery room to capture Dominic’s birth, but with my previously planned travel, things didn’t work in our favor. However, I cannot wait to meet baby Dominic and snap some precious photos of him!
Can you believe these two? I can’t stop staring at these photos because Eliza & Joseph are remarkable! I love when my couples come to me with ideas, we can combine all our creative thoughts and together make something incredible. Eliza & Joseph wanted their engagement photos to feel as though they stepped straight out of The Great Gatsby, so we all went to work. Me trying to find the perfect venue, and them putting together the perfect look. When I walked in the room after they had gotten dressed, my jaw dropped at how amazing they looked, and I felt a giddy excitement that this shoot would be more than I could even dream of. I couldn’t believe how easily and effortlessly these two fell into character, helping me pull off this breathtaking session at the historic Grant-Humphrey’s Mansion in Denver. We had such an amazing day together! They will be getting married in April in New Orleans.
