Can I just say…elopements are my favorite! There is just something so special about being one of the only people or sometimes the only person that your couple has chosen to witness their intimate exchange of vows. It is a high honor that I cherish and feel so privileged to capture. Further, these small, intimate ceremonies give me so much more creative freedom as their photographer! I love feeling like part of the family as I capture their every day life before the vows. And I love having so much more time with the couple themselves to really dive in and capture their love. It’s an amazing way to tell their story! Julie, Ian, Raleigh and Gizmo truly stole my heart with their beautiful family and the love they share. And not only was it special to capture because Julie & Ian were getting married, but also because they are about to move. So being a part of this more intimate day allowed me to really tell the story of their life at home before having to say goodbye to it. Connecting with them to find and capture what was most important filled my heart and soul! Congratulations Julie & Ian! Thank you for including me in such an amazing day!

Jessica & Aaron were just one of those couples that I think fate had planned for us to meet, much like how fate brought these two together. From a proposal in Paris, to family pie baking, to square dancing, to a gorgeous mountain ranch wedding, it was the perfect wedding weekend in Grand Lake, Colorado. Everything a photographer can dream of. Not to mention, how stunning is this couple?! They have been together for sixteen years, so the wedding was just a formality at this point. But it was so amazing to see how much love was shared between them after so long. Their hospitality, warmth and welcoming hearts made the whole thing amazing for everyone around them (including me)! I’m so glad this couple from Chicago found me and asked me to be a part of their special day! Congrats Jessica & Aaron!
