Celeste & Chase – Adventure Elopement & Intimate Wedding Photographer

Every once and awhile, as I’ve done my job, there have been moments that have crept up when I’m shooting or getting to know couples that have stood out and essentially shaped my own beliefs, feelings and ideals around relationships, marriage and life. I had no idea going into this mentor session that it would be one of those moments. I had asked Celeste if her and her boyfriend would be willing to model for a mentoring session I was teaching. My mentee wanted to see how I posed and interacted with my clients, and I couldn’t have asked for a better example.

Sure, I could say that going into the session there was a lot less pressure because Celeste & Chase weren’t paying me. I could have more fun and be more creative. But I truly, deeply believe that there are some couples in this world whose relationship just radiates and impacts those around them. Celeste & Chase have one of those and I believe that is what shaped the tone, feeling and nature of this entire session.

Their natural, fluid banter with one another and how they were just so remarkably comfortable to be 100%, unapologetically themselves not only with me but with each other was inspiring! They played. They laughed. They loved and did it so genuinely. They were truly refreshing! Their relationship doesn’t have weight as they aren’t trying to do or be anything other than what they are. Their relationship had depth and life. In this moment, I told myself that I never ever wanted anything less than that.

Celete & Chase, thank you for sharing your hearts and lives with me. I hope this session will serve as a reminder for you throughout your entire lives together that your relationship is so true and deep! And that the space and home you’ve made for each other to be yourselves completely radiates to those around you and will get you through everything!
