This session combined two of my most favorite parts of the job: 1) new amazing places and 2) a fun, loving, gorgeous couple! Courtney & Michael took me on a small adventure to Long Lake in the Brainard Lake Recreational Area. The original plan was to head to Lake Isabelle, but with the late snow melt we’ve had this year, lack of cell service to meet up, and too long of a hike, we “settled” for Long Lake. And if that is settling, I’ll take it! We hiked about half a mile and the views were spectacular from every direction. Not to mention hanging out with these two love birds and their adorable pup, Foster, made the evening that much more amazing! I cannot wait until their wedding next month. Hopefully there are a few less mosquitos and a lot more laughs to go around.
In honor of beautiful little Charlie being born today, I had to finish up and post Rachael & Cameron’s sun-drenched maternity session. I met Rachael a little over a year ago on the job. She is a very talented hair and make up artist that I have the privilege of working with all the time. And what’s even better than being colleagues is becoming friends. So I was thrilled to capture this moment in Rachael & Cameron’s lives as they welcome their first baby into the world! Love you guys and pretty Charlie!
One of the things I love most about my job is getting to meet and capture every different couple I meet. And because of that, I was so excited when Terra and Michael told me they wanted to dress fancy for their engagement session and juxtapose that with some run down warehouses. Terra did tell me though that she never gets to wear these fancy dresses – even though she wears heels every day to work at the salon (I don’t know how she does it)! So what better day to wear them and feel your best than on the day of your engagement session. They rocked it! Looking forward to their wedding next week.
